Herzlich Willkommen! Welcome!

In many European university cities, there are independent student networks which provide Internet access for tenants in the dormitories, look after the technical equipment and sometimes take over the administration completely on their own. This site aims to collect information about as many of these networks as possible and to serve the networks themselves as a presentation and communication platform.

This also promotes the cooperation of the individual student networks and joint projects, such as the annual student network meeting (German: Studentennetztreffen, hence the acronym “SNT”) , Voice-over-IP solutions or streaming, deepen the contacts.

Since SNT 2017, we expanded our network internationally - with guests from Prague being the first ones to join! In the following year, SNT 2018 was hosted in Prague and for SNT 2019 we were guests in Bratislava!

In Europa existieren in sehr vielen Hochschulstädten meist eigenständige Studentennetze, welche in den Wohnheimen den Internetzugang für die Mieter ermöglichen, die Technik betreuen und teilweise die Verwaltung komplett in Eigenregie übernehmen. Diese Seite hat es sich zum Ziel gemacht, Informationen über möglichst viele dieser Netze zusammenzutragen und den Netzen selbst als Präsentations- und Kommunikationsplattform zu dienen.

Damit wird auch die Zusammenarbeit der einzelnen Studentennetze gefördert und gemeinsame Projekte, wie das jährlich stattfindende Studentennetztreffen, Voice-over-IP-Lösungen oder Streaming, vertiefen die Kontakte.

Seit dem SNT 2017 haben wir unser Treffen international ausgebaut - als erstes mit Gästen aus Prag! Im folgenden Jahr (SNT 2018) waren wir in Prag und für das SNT 2019 waren wir in Bratislava zu Gast!

The SNT 2020 would have taken place in Paris from August 13 to 16 but was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
